Nice day despite the wind really failing to show up :( Our Rob is down for a few days and hasn't kitesurfed for a couple of years so with the wind at 11:30 16 gusting 20 we headed down. I rigged up as yesterday - big freeride kit and sailed down to kite beach to help him launch, he was going great but I was way underpowered. Rob had a great time as I floundered but as I made it back to the dip the wind swung more onshore and picked up a little and it was good fun sailing in the big swell in the river mouth. The coast watch boat was busy rescueing a speedboat broken down and then towed in a small tender complete with outboard drifting out to sea with no one aboard ! As there was a air display here in Felixstowe today the highlight of the day was a Catalina flying boat fly over as I was sailing :) I have never seen so many people in Felixstowe and parking is a nightmare !!! The other big plus of the day was the return to windsurfing after a 2 year break with illness og Chris Gant - he had a top day :)
